What happens if a lesson is cancelled?

If a lesson must be cancelled due to a pool closure or unforeseen weather circumstances that make the program unsafe to run you will be notified via text as soon as we are informed. You will be contacted regarding the availability of a make up lessons either during or at the end of the program.

What happens if the teacher is sick?

If a Royal Life Saving staff member advises that they are unwell, the circumstances will be reviewed by the Swim and Survive Program Manager. If it is not considered safe for them to return to work for the remainder of the program, and a replacement teacher is not available, you will be refunded the cost of the cancelled lessons.

Do you have a Covid Safe plan?

As Royal Life Saving runs the Swim and Survive Vacation Program at over 40 locations across regional and remote NSW there is no one Covid plan to fit all facilities. It is important that you follow the Covid Safe plan in place at your booked venue. What happens if it is unsafe to run a program due to Covid-19?

Royal Life Saving works closely with each council and pool facility prior to and during each of the programs. If a program is deemed unsafe to run due to a Covid outbreak or risk, all customers will receive a full refund of program costs. The safety of our staff and customers is our highest priority.

Are there make up lessons?

Should your child be sick or absent from their class, we are happy to offer a makeup lesson free of charge if available at your facility. If your child is sick with vomiting or diarrhea, please do not bring them to the pool. These are NSW Ministry of Health Guidelines. Make up lessons are only available under the following circumstances: • Make up lessons can only be offered if we have availability • Make up lessons must be used within the same vacation swimming program • Make up lessons cannot be cancelled or transferred; swimmers cannot make up a makeup. • To arrange a makeup lesson, please contact the Swim and Survive Team on 02 9634 3700 or at swimandsurvive@royalnsw.com.au
